SUMMARY
Summary:
The Finance Associate (OTC Cash Application) plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition within the designated portfolio of country accounts under RSE. This position is responsible for end-to-end cash application processes, including the preparation of journal entries for revenue postings, coordination with sales, collections, and customers to ensure proper revenue recording, and maintaining high accuracy in daily accounting tracking. The role emphasizes precision in avoiding duplicate postings, supporting customer account reconciliations, and responding promptly to sales and customer inquiries. Additionally, the associate contributes to the timely and safe closure of new projects, ensuring financial integrity and operational efficiency across the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all cash application and credit management activities for a defined set of country accounts within RSE.
- Prepare and post journal entries for revenue collections in alignment with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with collections, sales teams, and customers to verify and process payments accurately using payment advice.
- Monitor daily cash application trackers to ensure data accuracy and prevent duplicate postings.
- Conduct and support customer account reconciliations as required.
- Respond to sales and customer queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the timely and safe closure of new projects, ensuring financial compliance and process adherence.
Requirements Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1 2 years of experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Familiarity with OTC (Order to Cash) processes is highly desirable.
