Job Purpose

To carry out on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, fitting, troubleshooting, and repair of fuel dispensers and associated systems at customer locations, ensuring safe operation, minimal downtime, and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities1. Installation & Commissioning

• Install fuel dispensers at petrol pumps and customer sites as per company standards.
• Perform mechanical fitting, electrical wiring, and basic electronic connections.
• Carry out commissioning, calibration, and functional testing.
• Ensure compliance with safety and statutory norms.

2. Maintenance & Service

• Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of fuel dispensers.
• Diagnose faults related to:
• Electrical panels and wiring
• Electronic cards, sensors, and displays
• Mechanical components (pumps, valves, hoses, nozzles)
• Replace defective parts and ensure proper functioning.

3. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

• Identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Rectify issues related to accuracy, flow rate, display errors, or communication faults.
• Provide quick resolution to minimize downtime at customer sites.

4. Customer Interaction

• Coordinate with site owners, pump managers, and operators during service visits.
• Explain basic operation and minor troubleshooting to customers.
• Maintain professional conduct and represent the company positively on-site.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare service reports, installation checklists, and maintenance records.
• Update job status, spare parts usage, and service history.
• Share feedback and recurring issues with the service team.

6. Travel & Field Work

• Travel frequently to customer sites as per service schedules.
• Handle tools, instruments, and service kits responsibly.
• Be available for emergency breakdown calls when required.

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in:
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• BE/B.Tech (optional / added advantage)

Experience

• Freshers: Basic technical knowledge and willingness to learn.
• Experienced: 1–5 years in field service, preferably in:
• Fuel dispensers
• Petrol pump equipment
• Industrial electrical/electronic/mechanical systems

Technical Skills Required

• Basic electrical wiring and panel understanding
• Knowledge of electronic components and troubleshooting
• Mechanical assembly and fitting skills
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals
• Basic use of multimeter and hand tools
