Field Service Engineer

Designation: Service & Installation Engineer – Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)

Location: Jaipur – Site & Field-based
Industry: Water & Wastewater Treatment. Salary - ₹15,000 – ₹30,000 per month (based on experience) + site allowances, travel reimbursement, and performance incentives.”

This role is responsible for installation, erection, plumbing, electrical wiring, testing, and commissioning of Sewage Treatment Plants and related equipment at client sites, along with basic service and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

· Install and erect STP plant machinery: tanks, blowers, pumps, piping, valves, aeration systems, panels, etc. as per drawings and instructions.

· Carry out plumbing work: pipe fitting, jointing, leak testing for inlet/outlet, recirculation, sludge and other lines (PVC, HDPE, MS, GI).

· Assist / perform electrical work: cable laying, glanding, termination, panel wiring connection of pumps, blowers, sensors, and level switches under supervision of an electrician or as per wiring diagrams.

· Support testing and commissioning: start-up, checking flow, pressure, DO levels, motor rotation, valve operation and recording basic operating parameters.

· Conduct routine service visits for preventive maintenance, minor repairs, nozzle cleaning, pipeline flushing, and troubleshooting of mechanical issues.

· Coordinate with project / design team for site readiness, material requirements, and report any mismatch or site-related constraints.

· Maintain job-wise service and installation reports, site photos, and get client sign-off after completion.

· Follow all safety procedures on-site (PPE use, electrical and confined space precautions) and ensure safe working practices.

· Travel to different project locations as per requirement; may involve outstation stays.

Desired Profile

Education & Experience

· ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Fitter / Plumber OR relevant trade certificate.

· 1–5 years of experience in STP/ETP/WTP/RO installation, industrial plant erection, plumbing, or MEP work preferred; fresher ITI/Diploma candidates with strong practical skills can also be considered.

Skills & Competencies

· Ability to read basic piping and electrical layouts or willingness to learn.

· Hands-on skills in plumbing, pipe fitting, basic electrical connections, and use of power tools.

· Basic understanding of pumps, blowers, valves, and water/wastewater process equipment is an advantage.

· Physically fit and willing to work on construction/industrial sites and at height or in pits with proper safety.

· Discipline, honest work ethic, and readiness for travel and overtime when required.

Working Conditions

· Field job – majority time at project sites (residential/commercial/industrial ETP/STPs).

· Work days: Typically 6 days per week Sunday – Holiday

· Reporting To: Project / Service Manager or Director.

Salary Range

· Fresher ITI / 0–1 year:

o ₹15,000 – ₹18,000 per month (fixed) + site allowance / travel & food reimbursement.

· 1–3 years STP/ETP/industrial installation experience:

o ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month (fixed) + site allowance/DA + overtime as per policy.

· 3–5 years solid STP installation/commissioning experience (can independently handle sites):₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month (fixed) + travel/DA + performance bonus for timely commissioning and customer satisfaction.
