  • Qualification

    : Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any related field. Diploma holders with relevant experience may also apply.
  • Experience Preferred

    : 1–3 years of experience in field sales, preferably in solar products, electrical goods, or manufacturing sector
  • Technical Skill Requirement

    :
    • Basic understanding of solar products, especially solar street lights
    • Ability to conduct product demonstrations and site visits
    • Familiarity with CRM and reporting tools (Google Sheets, Excel, mobile sales apps)
    • Two-wheeler driving skills with a valid license (for field mobility)
    • Knowledge of local market, distributors, and customer behavior
  • Behavioural Skill Requirement

Summary / Purpose of the Role

Field Sales Executive

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Generation & Revenue Growth

    • Identify and meet prospective clients including government agencies, contractors, builders, and businesses for solar lighting solutions.
    • Generate sales through direct client interaction, cold calling, lead follow-ups, and field visits.
    • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  2. Client Meetings & Site Visits

    • Conduct regular field visits to meet potential and existing clients at their offices, sites, or project locations.
    • Understand client requirements, suggest suitable products, and provide on-site solutions.
    • Assist clients with basic technical details, installation guidelines, and pricing.
  3. Lead Management & Follow-Up

    • Follow up diligently on sales inquiries, leads generated by marketing, and incoming calls.
    • Convert inquiries into confirmed orders by building trust and demonstrating product benefits.
    • Maintain updated records of leads, meetings, and follow-ups in CRM or reporting formats.
  4. Product Promotion & Demonstration

    • Demonstrate product features, specifications, and advantages of solar street lights to prospective customers.
    • Distribute brochures, samples, and promotional materials as needed.
    • Stay updated with product knowledge and competitors’ offerings.
  5. Order Closure & Documentation

    • Negotiate terms and close sales by preparing quotations, proforma invoices, and documentation.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (Sales Admin, Accounts, Dispatch) for order processing and fulfillment.
    • Ensure timely collection of payments as per company policy.
  6. Market Research & Feedback Collection

    • Gather insights on market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer preferences.
    • Share regular feedback with sales and marketing teams for product improvement and strategy development.
    • Identify new markets, applications, and business segments for solar street lights.
  7. Customer Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships for repeat business and referrals.
    • Handle customer queries, complaints, and post-sale issues with professionalism.
    • Ensure high customer satisfaction through prompt service and clear communication.
  8. Sales Reporting & Coordination

    • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on field activities, sales performance, and territory updates.
    • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and strategy discussions.
    • Collaborate with Area Sales Manager to plan sales activities and territory coverage.
  9. Travel & Territory Management

    • Manage travel across assigned areas efficiently to optimize customer meetings and coverage.
    • Maintain expense records and follow company guidelines for travel and reporting.
    • Ensure strong brand presence and visibility in the assigned field territory.
  10. Support in Events & Exhibitions

    • Represent the company in local exhibitions, trade fairs, and marketing events.
    • Set up stalls, demonstrate products, and interact with visitors to generate leads.
    • Collect contact information and share follow-up plans with the sales team.
