Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Network Engineer – Team Lead to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecom network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will lead a team of field engineers and technicians, ensuring timely and quality delivery of network deployments and support services in line with project and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Supervision:

  • Lead and manage a team of field engineers and technicians across multiple sites.
  • Allocate tasks, manage schedules, and ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
  • Conduct training and mentorship to junior engineers and new team members.
  • Ensure team compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain telecom equipment such as routers, switches, base stations, antennas, and fiber-optic systems.
  • Perform site surveys, RF planning, LOS (Line-of-Sight) checks, and signal testing.
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Ensure proper documentation of network topologies, test results, and site audit reports.
  • Coordinate with NOC (Network Operations Center) and backend teams for escalated issues.

Project Execution:

  • Oversee and participate in network roll-outs, upgrades, and expansions.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure completion of installation and commissioning as per project timelines.
  • Participate in quality checks and handover processes.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, equipment inventory, and network changes.
  • Generate daily/weekly progress reports and escalate issues proactively.
  • Use ticketing systems (e.g., Remedy, ServiceNow) for incident and task tracking.

Requirements:Education:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience:

  • 4–7 years of field experience in telecom/network engineering.
  • At least 1–2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of telecom networks (2G/3G/4G/5G), IP networking, and fiber technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with telecom hardware
  • Knowledge of RF fundamentals, OTDR, Splicing, and Spectrum Analyzers.
  • Familiarity with health & safety regulations and compliance.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Flexibility to travel and work extended hours as needed.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • CCNA/CCNP

Work Environment:

  • Field-based role with frequent travel to installation and maintenance sites.
  • May require work in remote or outdoor environments and irregular working hours.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
