Role : Network Engineer – Network Maintenance

Function Name : Network Maintenance

Purpose of the Role:

The Network Engineer - Network Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of network infrastructure in the designated area. This role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective measures to maintain high service availability and customer satisfaction, with a strong emphasis on achieving specific operational objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Proactively monitor network performance using Network Management Systems (NMS) and other tools.
• Identify and diagnose network issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation, and equipment failures.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as equipment inspections, software upgrades, and configuration backups.
• Respond to network alerts and customer complaints in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through analysis and effective problem-solving techniques.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams or vendors when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of network infrastructure, configurations, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare and submit regular reports to the Team Leader on network performance, issues, and resolutions.
• Minimize "Cluster NC" (Non-Compliance) by adhering to quality standards and procedures during maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
• Analyze repeat complaints and identify root causes of network issues.
• Recommend and implement corrective measures to prevent recurring problems.
• Provide feedback to management on potential solutions to improve service levels and network reliability.
• Contribute to "Material Recovery" initiatives by properly handling and returning unused or faulty equipment and materials.

Must have:

Graduate/Diploma/ITI holder in any discipline

Hardware & Networking, MCSE and CCNA preferred

0-5 years of work experience in network maintenance or a related field.

Hands-on experience in troubleshooting network issues and using network monitoring tools.
