Job Description

Job Title: Accountant-cum-HR Executive

The Accountant-cum-HR Executive plays a pivotal role in managing both financial operations and human resources functions at the National Academy of Behavioural Science. This dynamic professional will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, including financial reporting, bank transactions, billing, and preparation of daily and monthly reports, while also managing HR activities such as recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. We encourage applications from female candidates for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to monitor performance and support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights for strategic planning.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as required.
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Human Resources

  • Manage the full recruitment process, from job postings to onboarding.
  • Maintain HR records and documentation, including contracts, files, and performance evaluations.
  • Handle employee relations, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
  • Facilitate training and development initiatives to support skill enhancement and career growth.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with HR policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and/or HR roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and HR policies.
  • Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, or other accounting/ERP software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
