Role Synopsis: As a Rotating Equipment Engineer at bp TSI, you will be an integral part of the discipline engineering team, providing deep engineering expertise, oversight, judgment, and support to the Production & Operations (P&O) bp Solutions (bpS) - Site Projects Team. You will bring your experience in supporting site-based projects in oil and gas/refinery operations, with a focus on the selection, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of rotating machinery packages. Your responsibilities will include interpreting P&IDs, datasheets, and technical specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards. You will also be involved in executing capital projects, supporting turnaround and shutdown activities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and driving the delivery of project milestones with a hands-on approach to resolving equipment-related issues. What you will deliver: In this role, you will provide Rotating Equipment engineering expertise to the P&O bp Solutions Site Projects teams. You will support hazard identification and risk assessment studies, provide technical oversight and approval of design engineering deliverables, review technical bid analysis, ensure compliance with engineering practices and standards, and conduct quality control checks on equipment delivery. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the preparation of acceptance tests, recording and sharing relevant learnings, and guiding projects in conducting the right level of Rotating engineering work. What you will need to be successful: To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, along with 8 to 15 years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical/refining/chemical industries. You should have strong technical knowledge and experience in the engineering, maintenance, and operation of Rotating equipment, including troubleshooting support, reliability, and equipment lifecycle issues. Additionally, you should possess working knowledge of international standards and codes related to rotating equipment design and selection, along with excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of improving safety and reliability.
