Offshore Structural Engineer

As an Offshore Structural Engineer in the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical/ BIM industry, your primary objective will be to undertake specific design tasks related to offshore structural engineering analysis and design. You will be based in Mangalore and the position is full-time and permanent. - Ensure the structural design integrity of work scope and maintain standards. - Establish the existing asset technical integrity program. - Conduct structural analysis for new platforms or platform modifications. - Design minor modifications as required. - Ensure compliance with Alliance QA/safety/environment goals. - Manage structural engineering design and any design changes within budget and schedule. - Identify and promote cost reduction and productivity enhancing initiatives. - Provide technical supervision to designated structural designers and draftsmen. - Benchmark structural design/drafting to identify areas of improvements. - Ensure quality assurance by working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system. - Maintain personal safety and follow safe working practices for the project. - Possess experience in working in a structural engineering team within a large multi-discipline project team. - Previous experience in minimum facility platform design including substructure, topsides, and bridges. - Comprehensive understanding of structural analysis in dynamic loading and resistance, collapse analysis, spectral fatigue analysis, fire and explosion design, reliability-based analysis, dropped object, etc. - Familiarity with API, DNV, AISC, BS codes. - Minimum of 1 year of SACS suite of software experience is essential. - Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural). - 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed design of substructure, deck, and bridges. - 3 years of offshore Oil and Gas Industry experience.,
