Offshore Structural Engineer

As an Offshore Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in conceptualizing, developing, and optimizing structural designs for offshore and oil & gas infrastructure. Your proficiency in structural analysis software such as Staad Pro and SACS, along with expertise in manual engineering calculations and finite element analysis (FEA), will be key to ensuring the structural integrity, compliance, and performance of critical offshore projects. Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is highly desirable for this challenging and dynamic role. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative structural designs for offshore projects. - Perform comprehensive hand calculations and apply finite element methods to validate structural integrity under operational and environmental loads. - Develop detailed lift plans and coordinate lifting and installation activities for offshore units. - Adhere to international industry codes and standards (IS, API, DNV, Eurocodes, NORSOK) to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. - Lead and participate in detailed design reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications. - Prepare and present technical reports, calculation notes, and project documentation to meet engineering and client requirements. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university. - 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in structural design and analysis of offshore platforms. - Expertise in structural analysis and preparation of engineering reports for offshore platforms. - Knowledge of structural design codes, standards, and industry best practices for steel structures in offshore environments. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration within engineering teams.
