Facility Manager

Job Description: Facility Manager Oversee building operations: Ensure that buildings and their services meet the needs of employees, including maintenance, cleaning, and security. Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol Manage maintenance: Supervise repair work, monitor system performance (like HVAC), and manage inventory for parts. Ensure safety and compliance: Ensure the facility complies with all safety regulations and can involve managing security and emergency preparedness. Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures. Handle finances: Create and manage budgets, control costs, and manage capital investment planning. Manage vendors and contracts: Oversee contracts with vendors for services like landscaping or maintenance. Supervise facilities staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors Plan and manage space: Handle space management, workplace design, and office moves. Strategic planning: Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the facility to improve efficiency and support organizational goals.    Key Skills Technical Skills: Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) Facility management software proficiency Understanding of basic accounting and finance principles Project management  Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership and team management Excellent communication (written and verbal) Problem-solving and decision-making Organizational and time management skills Customer service orientation Ability to work under pressure and handle a varied workload  Preferred qualifications Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, or equivalent Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional leadership experience Contract handling experience Strong attention to detail
