Facility Manager

JOB Summary: The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, safety, and functionality of buildings and grounds. This role ensures that facilities are safe, efficient, compliant with regulations, and supportive of organizational needs. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily facility operations, including buildings, utilities, equipment, and grounds Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors/vendors Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Manage facility-related budgets, cost control, and purchasing Coordinate repairs, renovations, and space planning projects Monitor building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, security)Conduct regular inspections and address issues promptly Maintain records for maintenance, inspections, and compliance Respond to emergencies and develop emergency preparedness plans Support sustainability and energy-efficiency initiatives Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)Proven experience in facilities or building management Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices Understanding of health, safety, and regulatory standards Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Leadership and team management abilities Budgeting and vendor management experience Good communication and reporting skills Proficiency in facility management software and MS Office
