Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  1. Facility Operations

    • Ensure uninterrupted functioning of all facility services (cleaning, security, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
    • Monitor daily operations and resolve issues proactively.
  2. Maintenance Management

    • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
    • Ensure timely repairs and upkeep of infrastructure and equipment.
  3. Health, Safety & Compliance

    • Implement safety protocols and emergency response plans.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (fire safety, building codes, environmental laws).
  4. Budgeting & Cost Control

    • Prepare and manage facility budgets.
    • Optimize operational costs while maintaining service quality.
  5. Vendor & Contract Management

    • Manage third-party service providers and contracts.
    • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure SLA adherence.
  6. Space Planning & Utilization

    • Plan and optimize workspace layouts.
    • Coordinate office moves, expansions, or renovations.
  7. Team Leadership

    • Supervise facility staff and technicians.
    • Conduct training and performance evaluations.
  8. Sustainability & Energy Efficiency

    • Implement energy-saving initiatives.
    • Promote eco-friendly practices in facility operations.

  • Building Management Systems (BMS)

    • Knowledge of automated systems for HVAC, lighting, and security.
  • Electrical & Mechanical Systems

    • Understanding of power distribution, generators, UPS, elevators, and fire alarm systems.
  • HVAC Systems

    • Familiarity with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning operations and maintenance.
  • Safety & Compliance Standards

    • Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, fire safety norms, and local building regulations.
  • Facility Management Software

    • Experience with CAFM (Computer-Aided Facility Management) tools like Archi bus, FM: Systems, or Plan on.
  • Project Management

    • Ability to plan, execute, and monitor facility-related projects (renovations, upgrades, etc.).
  • Procurement & Inventory Control

    • Managing supplies, spare parts, and vendor coordination.
