Job Description

Purpose: To ensure timely creation and release of designs as per specification and requirements for project execution thus contributing to client satisfaction. Roles & responsibility: Understand client requirements on the basis of BOQ, prepare concept drawings Connect with factory team for practical execution of the designs while finalising the concept of drawings Design shop drawings for the project as per specification and requirement and submit for approval by client Ensure approved shop drawings are sent to the Factory and Project Team. Create mock up designs as per client requirements. Prepare window schedule and MTO based on the approved shop drawings and submit to Factory Team. Create fabrication design, MTO, cutting list and order glass basis site survey done for the assigned project and release the sane timely to the factory team carrying out the Production work. Clarify queries from Factory team for all fabrication releases Revise the shop drawings to mitigate the gaps found in site survey as per information received from project team and prepare additional MTO and window schedule. Ensure all revision are submitted to Factory and Project Team. Ensure all design records including all revisions for the assigned projects are maintained. Verify the invoice of the vendor for the glass is the same as per specification. What do we Expect: To study the drawings, BOR and other details received from the client of and understood project scope, etc Explain the above details to the designer & get the drawings made from him. Forward the drawings to the client & get their approval/comments Get the revised drawings from the designer & submit the same to the client for final approval. Follow up with the client till receipt of approved drawing. Circulate approved drawing to Sales team & design team & project team. Follow up with project team for site survey report. Forward the survey report to designers & get the fabrication drawing, MTO, cutting sheet, etc Issue the fabrication clearance to factory Resolve all queries from the client & Factory Attend project meetings related to design till completion of project. Submit As - Built drawings to Sales / Management Any other task not mentioned above but required to be done for project completion. Co-ordination with Design Consultant - Client Consultant / Architect or subordinate Correspondence & co-ordination with project teams, client, architect, etc Design, fabrication guideline to design and site support for design Online / Offline site meetings Design CONCEPT [PRE-PROJECTS] Responsibilities: Evaluate client needs Conceptual Shop Drawings based on Architectural Drawings & Requirements Create prototypes or design mock-ups Sourcing materials, samples, or props Collaborate with other professionals Develop a budget and monitor costs Visual creativity Project management Design Engineering [POST-PROJECTS] Responsibilities: Tender/Contract Shop Drawings based on consultant's requirement As-Build Drawings Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own work Responsible for meeting agreed deadlines Undertake liaison and coordination with other designers, including architects, and other consultants Represent the team/group/profession/discipline at external meetings Responsible for the production of routine letters and/or reports and other documents from standard templates Works on defined tasks under limited supervision with some autonomy Production Engineering [POST-PROJECTS] Responsibilities: Analyse Shop drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work required for the project. Material Take Off & Co-Ordinate with Procurement Department Cutting Lists & Fabrication Drawings Co-Ordination with Store Department & Make strategies for Organize Stock Material. Prepare cost estimates and proposals for clients based on project requirements. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate estimates and project timelines. Conduct site visits and gather information to assess project feasibility and identify potential challenges. Work with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure materials costs are accurately reflected in estimates. Develop and maintain a database of pricing information, and other industry data to inform accurate estimates. Review and adjust estimates as needed based on changes in project scope or other factors. Communicate effectively with clients and team members throughout the estimation process to ensure project success. Show more Show less
