Job Title: Fabric Sourcing & Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

The Fabric Sourcing & Procurement Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and procuring quality fabrics at competitive prices while ensuring timely delivery. The role requires strong supplier negotiation, quality assessment, and compliance knowledge to meet production and sustainability goals.

Roles and Responsibilities :

· Identify and develop relationships with domestic and international fabric suppliers.

· Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, compliance, and reliability.

· Ensure suppliers meet sustainability standards (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, BCI, etc.)

· Maintain transaction certification of GOTS

· Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate the best deals.

· Manage purchase orders, delivery timelines, and payment terms.

· Coordinate with production and merchandising teams to ensure fabric availability.

· Ensure fabrics meet company standards in GSM, colorfastness, shrinkage, and durability.

· Conduct lab tests and inspections before finalizing orders.

· Maintain compliance with industry regulations and environmental policies.

· Monitor stock levels and forecast fabric requirements to prevent shortages or excess inventory.

· Work with finance to control procurement costs and improve profitability.

· Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and certifications.

· Provide regular reports on sourcing trends, price fluctuations, and procurement performance.

Qualifications :

· Bachelor's degree in textile industry or equivalent diploma in the related field

· 5+ years of experience in fabric sourcing, procurement, or textile manufacturing.

· Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.

· Knowledge of textile materials, quality standards, and testing methods.
