Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Fabrication In-Charge / Supervisor to oversee and manage all fabrication activities at our steel manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in structural fabrication and manufacturing, with excellent skills in planning, labour handling, and production coordination. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage daily operations of the fabrication shop floor. Plan and schedule production activities based on project timelines. Interpret fabrication drawings and ensure correct execution. Coordinate with the design, procurement, and quality teams. Allocate tasks to skilled and unskilled labour and monitor performance. Ensure optimal use of manpower, materials, and machinery. Monitor productivity, wastage, and efficiency parameters. Maintain inventory records and raise material requirements timely. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards. Troubleshoot issues in fabrication processes and offer timely solutions. Provide daily and weekly progress reports to management. Ensure minimum rework and high-quality output in all fabricated items. Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural steel fabrication. Proven experience in handling teams of welders, fitters, and helpers. Sound knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding processes, and steel grades. Ability to read and interpret structural and fabrication blueprints. Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills. Familiarity with production tracking, BOM, and basic MS Excel. Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in fabrication. Should be proactive, disciplined, and result-oriented. Preferred Qualification: Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field. Prior experience in medium to large-scale fabrication units preferred.
