Job Description

Key Responsibilities


1. Export & Import Documentation:

  • Prepare, verify, and process all essential international trade documents accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Export Documents: Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin (COO), Shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI), Airway Bills (AWB), Bill of Lading (B/L) instructions, and Export Declarations.

Advance Licence & DGFT Compliance

  • Apply, monitor, and close Advance Authorisations, EPCG, and LUT Bonds.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for Customs, DGFT, and Bank obligations.
  • Ensure timely submission of documents for licence redemption and audits.
  • shipping Document submission in Bank.
  • Import Documents: Review and submit import declarations, customs clearance documents, and ensure compliance with destination country regulations.
  • Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and airlines.



2. Purchase & amp; Imports

  • Handle procurement of Fabric and trims (domestic & international).
  • Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective

sourcing.

  • Prepare import documentation (Bill of Entry, CHA coordination, landing

cost analysis).

  • Maintain vendor database and track supplier performance.


3. Export Documentation & Coordination

  • Prepare and verify export documents: Invoices, Packing Lists, Shipping

Bills, RODTEP, Drawback claims, BRCs, and COO.

  • Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, banks, and customers to ensure

smooth export operations.

  • Follow up with customers for documents, payments, and compliance

requirements.

  • Maintain statutory export records for audits and government

submissions.



Required Skills & Qualifications:


  •  Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce / Science / Management.
  • Diploma / Certification in Export-Import Management or International Trade preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in garment/apparel/fashion Manufacturing & Export industry with hands on exposure to DGFT, Customs, Purchase, and Export Documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP, MS Office, DGFT/ICEGATE, and banking documentation portals.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of international shipping documents and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of HSN codes for textiles and apparel.
  • Familiarity with customs compliance and import/export regulations in key markets (e.g., CHINA,US CBP, EU customs).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive problem-solver.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP and supply chain management software.
