Your main responsibilities

1. Role:
The Safety Officer will be responsible for Safety Operations for Schindler India 2. Responsibility:
  • He/she will be responsible for ensuring pre-training preparation, conducting effective training with efficient time management skills right up to conducting course evaluation. This is applicable for all safety process and procedures and for each role in IND.
  • Conceptualizing & developing need based safety training modules for maintaining safe work practices for employees as well as subcontractors.
  • To provide hands on training on the field – Demonstration and Practical Training.
  • Auditing Sites – For Safety Compliances as per procedures / Processes.
  • Auditing people – Safety awareness, processes, procedures, using safety equipments.
  • Audit Subcontractors for all safety compliances.
  • Ensure Compliances to the Safety Requirements as per Group Processes & Policy.
  • Monitoring & Measurements of safety norms & standards.
  • Carry out / support investigations for any safety violations / incidents / accidents. Prepare reports. Take corrective actions. Report to Management Team.
  • Own Initiatives for improving Safety Performance.
  • Work with various departments to identify productivity-limiting gaps for safety violations or lost days and support corrective action, through training and development.
  • Assist in enhancing employee productivity by monitoring and tracking return on training investment – through identified follow-up planning and implementation of safe work practices.
  • Implement new and existing safety training projects and initiatives.
  • Consistent implementation of best practices in the planning/design, development and delivery of safety training development planning, and implementation.

What you bring

Education:
Degree/Diploma from RLI. Professional experience: 3 - 8 years experience in Employee Health and Safety preferably from elevator industry Languages: (+ levels: proficiency, advanced, intermediate, basic)
  • English (proficiency),
  • Hindi (advanced),
  • any regional language is an advantage.
Desirable Profile:
  • Sound technical knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate across levels.
  • Good Analytical and Logical Thinking
  • Experience in designing and delivering training for lower and middle levels of management.
