Job Description

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Process monthly payroll accurately and on time in compliance with Indian income tax rules and statutory regulations.
Manage statutory contributions and deductions including
EPF, ESIC, Professional Tax (PT), and Labour Welfare Fund (LWF)
.
Maintain and update employee data in
Spine Nx and Spine HRMS (Cloud Portal)
for payroll and compliance purposes.
Ensure proper calculation of salary components, deductions, reimbursements, and variable pay.
Prepare and analyze payroll reports using
advanced Excel tools
(VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, data validation).
Handle employee queries related to salary, tax deductions, and reimbursements in a professional manner.
Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for payroll inputs and reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, statutory deadlines, and audit requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of
salary-based Indian income tax rules
and statutory compliance.
Working knowledge of
Spine Nx and Spine HRMS (Cloud Portal)
.
Proficiency in
MS Excel
(pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data validation).
Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
Self-motivated, proactive, with strong problem-solving ability.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with employees and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, HR, or related field.
2-5 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance.
Experience with payroll software (preferably
Spine Nx
) is an advantage.
