Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production schedules.Coordinate with procurement, design, and quality teams.Implement process controls to maintain consistency.Maintain production records, work instructions, and technical documentation.Ensure that manufacturing processes meet quality standards.Collaborate with QA teams to resolve product defects.Participate in product design reviews from a manufacturability perspective.Select and maintain machinery, tools, and equipment.Minimize waste, cycle time, and energy consumption.Support shop floor teams with technical issues and documentation.Train operators and technicians on new processes or equipment.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Deliverables (Success Measures)

Prepare reports on production efficiency, downtime, and KPIs.Analyze current production processes and identify improvements.Analyze production data for performance and output improvements.Reduce unplanned equipment downtime.Production efficiency measured by OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), machine utilization, cycle time reduction.Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methods to increase efficiency.Ensure consistent product quality by reducing rejection and improving first pass yield.

Professional Qualification

Education:

B.Tech. (Mechanical)

Experience:

4–6 years

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.Experience with SAP.CNC programming (Fanuc controller).Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

Soft Skills

Well-versed with computers.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and team collaboration.Ability to train and mentor shop floor staff.
