Role & responsibilities

Role Overview

identifying performance gaps, planning strategic interventions, improving processes, tracking execution

Key Responsibilities

1. CEO Support & Strategic Execution

  • Work closely with the CEO to understand organisational priorities and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Coordinate with functional heads (Sales, Programming, Marketing, Digital, HR, Finance, Admin, Brand Solutions, Events & IPs) to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines.
  • Drive follow-ups, track progress, and flag execution gaps proactively.
  • Prepare CEO briefings, business reviews, investor updates, and board-level decks.
  • Act as the CEOs proxy in interdepartmental discussions when required.

2. Business Analysis & Insights

  • Conduct detailed analysis of revenue streams across Radio, Digital, On-Ground, IPs, Concerts, and Influencer monetisation.
  • Identify trends, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for expansion.
  • Use data to generate actionable insights that guide strategic decisions.
  • Support the CEO with market intelligence, industry research, competition mapping, new format/IP ideas, and emerging digital/creator-economy trends.

3. Cross-Functional Coordination & Efficiency Building

  • Serve as the bridge between the CEO and functional leaders to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
  • Assist in streamlining processes to improve productivity, cost efficiencies, and interdepartmental alignment.
  • Track KPIs, and key projects; escalate risks and delays early.
  • Ensure timely implementation of organisational priorities across 50+ cities and multi-format business units.

4. Project Management & Special Initiatives

  • Lead or support strategic CEO-led projects (new IPs, RJ influencer rollouts, digital transformation, market expansion, research initiatives).
  • Oversee project governance, documentation, and milestone tracking.
  • Facilitate cross-functional task forces to drive innovation and operational excellence.

5. Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Draft internal communications, CEO messages, strategic notes, and external presentations.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships between internal teams, partners, agencies, event organisers, and talent (RJs/influencers).
  • Ensure the CEO is always informed, prepared, and equipped for meetings and engagements.

6. Research & Thought Leadership Support

  • Conduct periodic research on consumer behaviour, radio & audio industry trends, digital content formats, influencer monetisation models, and experiential marketing.
  • Support innovation by recommending new revenue opportunities, format ideas, and category insights.
  • Benchmark best practices from global media and entertainment ecosystems.

Skills & CompetenciesFunctional Competencies

  • Strong understanding of radio, digital media, events, IP creation, and influencer ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in business analysis, research methodologies, and data interpretation.
  • Excellent PPT, Excel, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to convert insights into strategic recommendations.

Behavioural Competencies

  • Highly organised with strong project management discipline.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a bias for action.
  • High levels of discretion, maturity, and professionalism.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA or postgraduate degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in media, digital, consulting, events, or allied industries.
  • Prior experience supporting CXOs, strategy teams, or business planning functions is a strong advantage.
  • Exposure to analytics, research, or business strategy roles is desirable.
