Location: Environment Audit Laboratory, PIT, Parul University

Reports To: Head, Environment Audit Laboratory

Job Summary:

Parul University is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented environmental engineer to join

our NABL accredited & GPCB recognized environment audit laboratory. This role is open to

candidate who are eager to begin their careers in the field of environment auditing.

It is prerequisite to familiar with constitution & environment legislation, Global

environment issues, Environment audit schemes, Resource efficiency and cleaner production,

Standards and norms of drinking, effluent, ambient air quality, flue gas emission & noise

emission, Knowledge about hydrosphere and atmosphere, Renewable and non-renewable

sources of energy and solid and hazardous waste management, Basics of health and safety,

and Unit conversions.

Knowledge Required: The environment engineer should have in depth knowledge of

environmental pollution, water technology, water and wastewater treatment unit operations &

processes, water quality management, Mode of effluent disposal and standards, Design

effluent management system, Performance and efficiency evaluation of ETP, Operation and

troubleshooting of various water and wastewater treatment units, Treatment of concentrated

industrial waste, Pollution load calculation, Air quality management, Control of particulates

and gaseous pollutants, Hazardous waste management, Common effluent treatment plant,

Pre-processing and co-processing of hazardous waste, Industrial fuel, Design adequacy of

pollution control devices/treatment facility such as ETP, CETP, Stack and air pollution

control equipment’s to achieve norms and Basics of significance, sampling, preservation and

analysis of key parameters like pH, BOD, COD, DO, Ammonical Nitrogen, TDS, TSS,

Hardness, PM-10, PM2.5, SO2, NO2, Leachate preparation, Calorific value, TOC, TCLP etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct environment audit of allotted industry
• Perform environment sampling and analysis
• Perform water balance and pollution load calculation
• Design adequacy of pollution control devices/treatment facility such as ETP, CETP,

Stack and air pollution control equipment’s to achieve norms.

• Prepare Environment Audit Report
• Maintaining various environment audit records like site visit form, sample inward

register, raw data calculation sheet and testing report compliance with NABL.

• Preparing documentation related to NABL, GPCB environment audit.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of environment audit data.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Environmental Science with one year experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the environment audit work.

Mandatory Requirement: After joining of Parul University, Candidate has to pass the

qualifying test for team members of Environment Auditors-Gujarat.

Joining: Immediately.

Experience: Minimum One Year

Work Environment:

• Standard office environment within Parul University’s Environment Audit

Laboratory.

• Training will be provided to interns for respective environment audit work activities

like sampling and analysis work and document management tasks.
