About The Opportunity
Operating at the intersection of Quantum Computing, AI and Computational Materials Science, this organisation builds quantum-inspired AI platforms that accelerate materials discovery, formulation optimisation and product innovation for materials, chemicals, energy, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing sectors. We partner with R&D and innovation leaders to reduce cycle-times, predict material properties and de-risk scale-up using quantum-enabled modelling and ML-driven workflows.Role & Responsibilities
- Own a quota-carrying territory: identify, qualify and close enterprise deals for quantum-enabled materials discovery and computational R&D platforms.
- Engage senior technical decision-makers (CTOs, VPs of R&D, Heads of Materials Science) to build strategic accounts and long-term partnerships.
- Develop and deliver compelling value propositions, technical demos and proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements with cross-functional teams.
- Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving R&D, engineering, IT and procurement to close high-value contracts.
- Forecast pipeline activity accurately, maintain CRM hygiene (Salesforce) and meet monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Represent the product at industry conferences, customer workshops and technical symposiums; capture market intelligence and competitive insights.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering) or equivalent technical-sales experience.
- Proven quota-carrying enterprise sales experience selling AI/ML, computational platforms or advanced R&D technologies into materials-intensive industries.
- Track record of closing complex technical deals with R&D and innovation stakeholders across materials, chemicals, semiconductors or energy sectors.
- Deep understanding of materials development workflows: modelling, property prediction, formulation optimisation and lab-to-scale challenges.
- Strong consultative selling skills with experience delivering PoCs, technical demonstrations and commercial proposals alongside scientific teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively (domestic & international) and manage cross-region accounts.
Preferred
- MBA or advanced business qualification from a recognised institution.
- Familiarity with quantum computing applications, DFT/molecular simulation concepts or materials modelling tools (e.g., VASP, LAMMPS, Gaussian).
- Experience selling enterprise SaaS or subscription-based R&D platforms with deal sizes in the mid-to-high six-figure range.
Benefits & Culture Highlights
- Competitive base salary with an uncapped commission plan and attractive accelerators for over-performance.
- Work with world-class quantum scientists and materials experts in a high-growth, innovation-driven environment.
- Global customer exposure and career growth opportunities in emerging quantum and materials-as-a-service markets.
