Engineering Manager

AI/ML, backend, and platform engineering

💼 What You’ll Do

Technical Leadership

• Own technical strategy and architecture for our AI/ML platform
• Design scalable, distributed systems for model inference, NLP pipelines, and data processing
• Guide engineering decisions across microservices, cloud-native infra, and model serving
• Introduce engineering best practices, code quality standards, CI/CD automation, and observability
  

Team Leadership

• Lead & mentor cross-functional engineering teams (ML, backend, frontend)
• Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and build strong engineering culture
• Hire and develop top engineering talent
  

Product & Delivery

• Own end-to-end delivery of engineering projects
• Work closely with Product, Data Science, and Clients to refine requirements and ship features
• Ensure on-time, high-quality releases with strong attention to scalability and reliability
• Drive sprint planning, estimation, retros, and engineering KPIs
  

Innovation

• Champion adoption of new tools, architectures, and workflows
• Work with Data Science to experiment, prototype, and productionize AI/ML capabilities
• Contribute to roadmap planning for foundation models, NLP systems, and analytics products
  

🧠 What We’re Looking For

Must-Have

• 10–15+ years in software engineering with 3–6 years leading engineering teams
• Strong hands-on background in Python / Java, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud
• Proven experience in AI/ML product engineering, MLOps, or model-serving environments
• Expertise with AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and system design
• Experience delivering production-grade software systems at scale
• Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and communicate clearly with technical + non-technical teams
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with LLMs, NLP, RAG, deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
• Background in Fintech / BFSI / trading / quantitative analytics
• Prior experience in high-growth startups
