Engineering Lead / Architect

About The Role

Were seeking an Engineering Lead / Architect to design, build, and guide the development of our next-generation voice AI platform. This role combines deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership shaping architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring we deliver high-quality,scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Own the overall technical architecture and system design of our platform (including APIs,services, data layers, and integrations)Choose appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to align with business and productgoalsDefine and review API contracts, data models, and infrastructure componentsBreak down product features into detailed engineering tasks and estimate effortSet and enforce coding standards, security practices, and performance guidelinesMentor, coach, and review code from engineering team membersCollaborate closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure alignment and qualityOversee scalability, reliability, and cost optimization of cloud infrastructureContribute hands-on to critical components, especially during initial builds or high-impactphases

Requirements

6+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a lead or architect roleStrong experience designing and building large-scale, distributed systems (preferablycloud-native, microservices)Deep knowledge of API design, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven architecturesHands-on expertise with technologies such as Node.js or TypeScript (additionally Python is aplus).Experience with AWS or Azure cloud servicesStrong understanding of CI/CD, security best practices, and monitoringExcellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate between technical andbusiness needs

Nice to Have

Experience with AI/ML systems, voice tech, or real-time streaming architecturesFamiliarity with WebSockets, ASR, or NLU/NLP pipelinesPrior startup or scale-up environment experience
