Engineering Lead / Architect

As an Engineering Lead/Architect at VoiceOwl, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and guiding the development of the next-generation voice AI platform. Your deep technical expertise and hands-on leadership will be instrumental in shaping the architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own the overall technical architecture and system design of the platform, including APIs, services, data layers, and integrations. - Select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to align with business and product goals. - Define and review API contracts, data models, and infrastructure components. - Decompose product features into detailed engineering tasks and estimate effort. - Establish and enforce coding standards, security practices, and performance guidelines. - Mentor, coach, and review code from engineering team members. - Collaborate closely with Product, UX, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure alignment and quality. - Supervise scalability, reliability, and cost optimization of cloud infrastructure. - Contribute hands-on to critical components, especially during initial builds or high-impact phases. **Qualifications:** - 6+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in a lead or architect role. - Extensive experience in designing and building large-scale, distributed systems, preferably cloud-native and microservices. - Profound knowledge of API design, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven architectures. - Hands-on expertise with technologies like Node.js or TypeScript (Python is a plus). - Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services. - Strong understanding of CI/CD, security best practices, and monitoring.,
