Job Description

You’ll be our: Engineer Supplier Quality - Cluster Engineer (NCR)
You’ll be based at: National Capital Region (NCR)You’ll be aligned with: Group Lead SQA / Lead SQAYou’ll be a member of: Quality & Supplier QualityWhat You’ll do at Ather:

Gathering concrete evidence during site visits—Provide qualitative evidence of defects, collecting sample data, and verifying that Process Control Plans.
Conducting standard Process Audits on established suppliers to ensure they haven't drifted from their approved standards.
Gather process capability data (Cp/Cpk) and production samples during site visits for analysis & plotting the capability chart.
Coordinate with the supplier to ensure immediate containment actions (sorting/quarantine) are implemented within 24 hours of a reported issue.
Verification of the supplier internal rejections during GEMBA visits & verify the actions taken for top rejection contributors in process/ line.
Ensure the supplier's preventive maintenance (PM) plan is verified against actual practices. Follow up to confirm that any identified gaps in the PM process have been effectively closed.
Verification of the supplier's FTG( Fixture, tool & gauges) life meets the standard life and verify that no deterioration in this life has occurred.
Verification of the supplier’s measurement tools gives the same results as our internal tools by measuring the same parts together during visits & conducting joint MSA studies.
Review Tier-2 and Tier-3 PPAP documentation (Material Certifications, Dimensional Reports, Plating Reports) for accuracy and completeness during supplier visits.
Act as an integral part of on-site joint reviews. Perform side-by-side inspections & analysis with the supplier's quality team to align on visual standards & RCA.

Here’s What we Are Looking for:

Knowledge on Manufacturing Quality for various Automotive Commodities (e.g., Fabrication, Castings, Plastics, Electricals).
Familiarity with the 7 QC Tools (Pareto, Fishbone, Histogram, etc.).
Resilience: Comfortable working in a factory environment and handling pushback.
Attention to Detail: Noticing small discrepancies in paperwork or parts.
Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver quality output to meet the deadlines and handle details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Open to travel to multiple Suppliers

You Bring to Ather:

B.E or Diploma with Specialization in Mechanical/Electronics/Electricals
3~5 years of relevant experience in Supplier Quality handling multiple commodities.
