Role * Production Planning & Control (PPC)
Industry - Automotive – Wire Harness Manufacturing
Role Overview
The PPC Engineer will be responsible for *end-to-end production planning, material coordination, and daily output monitoring* for the wire harness manufacturing line. The role ensures *on-time delivery, optimal resource utilization, and alignment with customer schedules*, supporting smooth plant operation
*Key Responsibilities*
*1. Production Planning & Scheduling*
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer schedules and internal capacity.
- Coordinate with production, stores, and quality teams to ensure plan adherence.
- Monitor line loading, manpower allocation, and shift-wise output.
*2. Material Planning & Coordination*
- Plan and track material requirements (wires, terminals, connectors, sleeves, tapes, consumables).
- Follow up with purchase and stores for timely availability of RM/PM.
- Maintain minimum stock levels and avoid line stoppages.
*3. Customer Schedule Management*
- Review customer schedules (OEM/Tier-1) and update production plans accordingly.
- Track dispatch commitments and ensure 100% OTIF.
- Coordinate with logistics for daily dispatch planning.
*4. Data Management & Reporting*
- Maintain production MIS: plan vs actual, rejection, downtime, and productivity.
- Update SAP/ERP entries related to production orders, material consumption, and WIP.
- Prepare daily PPC dashboards for management review.
*5. Process Control & Improvement*
- Identify bottlenecks and support line balancing activities.
- Assist in implementing lean practices (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction).
- Support new product development (NPD) trials from a planning perspective.
*Required Skills & Experience*
- *Education:* Diploma / B.Tech / Graduate in any discipline (preferably Mechanical/Electrical).
- *Experience:* 2–4 years in *PPC within wire harness manufacturing* (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of wire harness components, routing, crimping, and assembly processes.
- Proficiency in *Excel, SAP/ERP*, and production reporting.
- Good coordination, analytical, and communication skills.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
