Your Job As a Product Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and validating busbars/connector solutions for high-power applications. Your responsibilities will include concept generation, detailed design, DFM, product validation, and optimization to ensure performance, quality, and manufacturability. What You Will Do Lead the design and development of busbars/connector solutions from concept to production launch. Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings with proper GD&T application. Perform material selection, current-carrying capacity analysis, and thermal performance evaluation. Conduct product validation and testing to meet industry standards and customer requirements. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Suppliers to optimize design for manufacturability (DFM) and cost efficiency. Conduct design reviews and implement design changes based on testing and feedback. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Collaboration with Global Product Management team to offer innovative solutions to customers. Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 4–8 years of experience in busbar design and development. Strong knowledge of different types of busbars and their applications. Understanding of busbar manufacturing processes. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent). Experience with busbar validation/testing methods and standards. Good understanding of electrical and thermal performance considerations. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers. What Will Put You Ahead Proven hands-on experience in the Busbars design and development. Deep expertise in GD&T, Busbar DFM, material selection, tolerance stack-up analysis, and product qualification. Strong aptitude for innovative thinking and problem-solving.
