Responsibilities:

• Develop Statistical/Machine Learning models / analysis for Merchandising and Planning Business problems
• Play a key role in all stages of the Data science project life cycle
• Collaborate with Product Management, Business teams to gain Business understanding, Collect requirements
• Identify data sources required, automate collection process
• Perform pre-processing, exploratory data analysis
• Evaluation / Interpretation of results and presentation to Stakeholders, Business leaders
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams for deploying models into production systems, when applicable

Requirements and skills:

• Proven experience in technical delivery of solutions with Time Series / Machine Learning techniques
• Strong applied Statistical skills, including knowledge of Statistical tests, distributions etc.
• Strong applied Machine Learning skills (Time Series, Regression Analysis, Supervised and Unsupervised Learning)
• Strong Programming Skills in Python and database query languages like SQL . Familiarity with Snowflake & Databricks is an added advantage
• Experience with time series forecasting techniques such ARIMA, Prophet, Deep AR
• Experience with data visualization libraries like Plotly, Business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in Retail industry

• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
• Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
