Responsibilities
This role is established for Mobility business of Eaton in Reliability & Safety CoE team. The core responsibilities of this position are following:
- Responsible for delivering safety work package(Design for Safety) for Automotive system solution (e.g. Electronic Transmission/Power system,inverters,power distribution unit) for electrical /Electronics and hybrid solutions for on- and off-road vehicles related new products introduction (NPI) programs without impacting project schedules. Typical deliverables are: program safety plan, hazard assessment(HARA), safety requirements, technical safety concept and implementation of requirements, verification & validation.
- Deploy safety assessment framework with the help of senior safety professional.
- Responsible to identify and mitigate safety risks under guidance & follow safety sign-off process for NPIs."

- Utilize functional safety concepts / tools such as preliminary hazard assessments, Risk Management, Hazard and Risk Analysis, Safety Goal definition,Fault Tree Analysis, FMECA, FMEDA, Safety requirements identification, Technical safety concept,Fault Injection test plan,Verification and validation of safety test cases and Compliancy scorecard for NPIs and/or existing product improvements.
- Planning project milestones, executing milestones,conducting deliverables reviews, communication with stakeholder and on-job development through technical mentoring.
- Create, publish, and maintain work instructions for safety processes ensuring best practices are shared across the product lines
- Responsible for on-time delivery of FuSA tasks with assured quality

Qualifications
"Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.Preferred: Masters in Electrical/Power Electronics engineering/safety/ reliability engineering and/or certification from reputed safety organizations like TUV"Required: Bachelor’s with 4 relevant experience or Masters with 1-2 years working in functional safety.
