Engineer Environment Health & Safety (EHS)

Designation : Engineer Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Location :Bangalore This position will supervise & monitor all site conditions, manufacturing processes, industry initiatives, and continuously ensure adherence to EHS norms & protocols of the company and shall be the driving factor to implement the best and successful EHS practices in the company EHS Executive is responsible for executing the EHS management programs and activities as below Generating and submitting compliance reports required by regulatory agencies. Maintain measurable key EHS performance indicators & trends. Conducts EHS training & orientation program for new joiners. Leads weekly & quarterly EHS meetings. Identify & drive the safety initiative Projects for the plant. Conduct periodic EHS walk-through inspections of all workplace facilities and report out. Maintain required EHS documents/files. Lead for FM Global audits and closure of recommendations. Conduct investigations into employee injuries, suggestions and complaints related to EHS and maintain the documents. Establish and monitor a program for reporting and investigating near-miss” situations. Conduct Incident investigations and maintain the documents. Establish and maintain staff audits and report out findings monthly. Conduct at least 2 emergency preparedness mock drills in a year. Establish employee engagement programs and monitor the same. Maintain effective communication about EHS topics. Promote safety & environmental awareness and initiate programs to sustain the initiatives Preferred Qualification & Skills: A degree or diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by the State Government of Karnataka with 5 years of industry work experience, is a must. A B.E / equivalent degree in Environment Engineering in addition to the above is also a mandate requirement. Proficiency in Kannada language is must Knowledge of ISO systems & Document management shall be preferred.
