Email Marketing Specialist

This role involves executing strategic email campaigns targeted at US police departments under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), managing outreach databases, and supporting content acquisition for storytelling purposes.

Key Responsibilities (KRA):

• Plan and execute targeted email outreach campaigns for data acquisition.
• Write and manage professional email communication to US law enforcement agencies.
• Track and follow up on email requests and maintain proper communication logs.
• Maintain and manage outreach databases (using Excel/Google Sheets/CRM tools).
• Ensure all outreach and data collection complies with FOIA, legal, and ethical guidelines.
• Organize collected data systematically for easy integration into video scripts.
• Collaborate with the research and content team for material verification and story curation.
• Monitor email campaign performance metrics like open rate, response rate, etc.
• Optimize outreach processes for better turnaround and higher engagement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (B.Tech/B.E. preferred; Mass Comm, Journalism, are also suitable).
• 6 months – 1 year experience in email marketing, communication, research, or outreach roles.
• Excellent command over written English and professional email etiquette.
• Experience with CRM tools, data tracking, and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and a structured work approach.
• Interest in true crime content or investigative storytelling is a plus.
