This is a remote position.

At Contour Education, we are hiring an Email Copywriter whose words directly shape how students and parents experience our programs. In this role, your emails will regularly reach thousands of people across Australia. Your writing will clarify important information, reduce confusion, prompt action, and build trust at scale.

This is not a marketing-only role. You will write and refine emails across operational, billing, and marketing communications, ensuring every message is clear, accurate, on-brand, and written with the reader in mind. You will see your work go live quickly and be used immediately, often the same day it is written.

What You Will Do

As an Email Copywriter, you will write and refine emails that sit at the heart of Contour’s operations and student experience.
  • Write new email copy for operational, transactional, and marketing use cases
  • Edit and improve existing email templates to increase clarity, readability, and effectiveness
  • Draft transactional emails such as confirmations, reminders, schedule updates, and system notifications
  • Write marketing and sales emails including onboarding sequences, lifecycle emails, re-engagement campaigns, and announcements
  • Support billing-related communication by simplifying financial information and making it easy for parents to understand and act on
  • Adapt tone and structure based on the audience, purpose, and stage of the student journey
  • Collaborate closely with operations, sales, and marketing teams to understand context and intent
  • Maintain consistency across email templates, sequences, and messaging standards
  • Review emails carefully for grammar, structure, tone, and clarity before release
  • Your work will not sit in a folder.
  • It will be used, sent, and read at scale, often the same day it is written.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves
  • 1 2 years of experience in email copywriting, marketing communications, or similar roles
  • Strong written English with a focus on clarity, tone, and structure
  • Ability to write and edit emails for different audiences and purposes
  • Comfort working with templates, briefs, and structured feedback
  • Ability to balance accuracy with persuasion where required
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple requests
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience with transactional, billing, or lifecycle emails
  • Exposure to EdTech, SaaS, or service-based businesses Familiarity with HubSpot or email platforms
  • Experience collaborating with operations or sales teams
