Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and process-driven Electronics Production Manager with deep expertise in IoT hardware production, OEM/ODM handling, and mass manufacturing. You will own the complete production lifecycle—from vendor management to production planning, QA/QC design, and final delivery—for products scaling beyond 1 million (10 lakh+) units.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-scale production through OEMs/ODMs, including factory onboarding, production planning, and delivery coordination.
- Design and optimize mass production lines for IoT hardware, with scalability to 10+ lakh units.
- Oversee Production Planning and Control (PPC) to ensure timely, flexible, and cost-effective deliveries.
- Define and implement QA/QC protocols, incoming inspection, line testing, and outbound quality checks.
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and process alignment.
- Coordinate with Chinese OEMs/vendors on procurement, tooling, test jigs, and batch production.
- Travel as required to China and key Indian cities for factory audits, pilot runs, and production supervision.
- Optimize BOM, production costs, assembly flows, and test throughput without compromising reliability.
- Maintain production dashboards and ensure traceability, documentation, and compliance.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or IoT production management.
- Proven track record of scaling production lines to 10L+ units.
- Strong experience in managing OEM/ODM relationships, especially with Chinese manufacturing partners.
- Deep knowledge of PPC processes, production flexibility, and just-in-time (JIT) strategies.
- Expertise in QA/QC systems design, batch testing, and electronics quality standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to production line challenges.
- Willingness to travel frequently for production supervision.
Preferred
- Prior experience in IoT products using ESP32, EC200U, LoRa, or similar modules.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP tools and manufacturing dashboards.
- Mandarin/Chinese language skills (bonus).
- Familiarity with certifications (e.g., CE, BIS, RoHS) and compliance testing.
