Position Overview

The Electrical Technical Consultant provides expert guidance and technical support on electrical engineering projects, systems design, and technology implementation. This role involves assessing client requirements, recommending solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong problem-solving and communication skills, capable of delivering practical and innovative solutions for complex electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Consultation & Project Support

Provide expert advice on electrical system design, installation, operation, and maintenance.

Evaluate client requirements and develop tailored solutions for industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects.

Conduct technical feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for electrical systems.

2. Design & Implementation Oversight

Support the development of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.

Review and validate technical drawings, specifications, and engineering plans.

Provide guidance on equipment selection, installation procedures, and testing protocols.

3. Compliance & Standards

Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with local, national, and international standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IEEE).

Monitor adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct audits and inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Training

Collaborate with clients, engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Provide technical presentations, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Train client personnel or internal teams on electrical system operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance best practices.

5. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Research emerging electrical technologies, components, and industry trends.

Recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

Support optimization of processes, energy usage, and system performance.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

5–10 years of experience in electrical engineering, technical consulting, or project management.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and automation technologies.

Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.

Experience with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, or similar).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
