Role Overview

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems including

  motors, transformers, switchgear, PLCs, and drives

  .
• Execute

  preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance

  to minimize downtime.
• Ensure

  uninterrupted power supply

  and optimize energy efficiency across the facility.

Installation & Commissioning

• Supervise installation of new electrical equipment and systems.
• Test and commission equipment as per technical specifications and standards.
• Review and validate

  electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and as-built documents

  .

Safety & Compliance

• Implement and strictly adhere to

  electrical safety protocols

  and statutory regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with

  IEC / IS standards

  .
• Support safety initiatives including

  risk assessments, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)

  , and hazard mitigation.

Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis

• Diagnose electrical faults and breakdowns in industrial machinery and utilities.
• Perform

  root cause analysis (RCA)

  and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Project & Vendor Coordination

• Support

  capital and expansion projects

  from an electrical engineering perspective.
• Coordinate with

  vendors, contractors, and OEMs

  for maintenance, repairs, and procurement.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of

  maintenance schedules, breakdowns, and energy consumption

  .
• Prepare technical reports and recommend

  cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives

  .
• Manage and maintain

  electrical inventory and spare parts

  .

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s / Diploma in Electrical Engineering

• Minimum

  5 years of hands-on industrial experience

• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, safety standards, and maintenance best practices
