Role Overview

The Electric BIM Modeler is responsible for creating, developing, and coordinating electrical BIM models for building projects. The role involves producing accurate drawings, conducting clash detection, ensuring model compliance with project standards, and coordinating with internal and external teams for smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D electrical models using

  Revit MEP

  as per project requirements.

• Create coordinated models for electrical systems including:

• Power distribution

• Lighting

• Cable trays & conduits

• Panel schedules

• Fire alarm, ELV & other electrical services

• Prepare

  shop drawings, layouts, sections, and detail drawings

  from the BIM model.

• Collaborate with architects, structural, mechanical, and plumbing teams to ensure model accuracy and coordination.

• Perform

  clash detection

  using Navisworks and update the model based on review comments.

• Maintain BIM execution standards, LOD requirements, and project-specific BIM protocols.

• Ensure timely delivery of model updates, drawing submissions, and documentation.

• Participate in coordination meetings and discuss model issues, clashes, and design conflicts.

• Maintain version control and upload/update models on

  BIM 360 / CDE platforms.

• Assist in creating as-built models and drawings at project completion.

Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• 2 - 5 years of experience as Electrical BIM Modeler / Revit Modeler (as required).

• Strong proficiency in

  Revit MEP (Electrical)

  and

  AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of electrical services design principles and construction practices.

• Experience with

  Navisworks, BIM 360, and clash detection workflows.

• Ability to understand electrical schematics, SLDs, and technical drawings.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with LOD 300–500 modeling.

• Knowledge of international standards (US/UK/Gulf) as per project requirement.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced BIM environment.

• Basic understanding of other MEP services for coordination purposes
