Electrical Design Manager – Pune Qual: BE/Dip – Electrical Exp: 12-15 Years Sal: Negotiable Loc: Pune Job Description Should have worked with reputed turnkey contractors in design role or with reputed design houses. Responsible for complete design and engineering of various electrical utilities and related services such as electrical HT and LT systems, IBMS, etc. Coordination and integration of all electrical services design with other key project design trades such as civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, interiors / fit-out, etc. Understand client requirements in initial project stages and translate them into design brief, followed by design basis report, capacity calculations, appropriate balance of CAPEX-OPEX for equipment selection, technological alternatives comparison, etc. Support project budget formulations / elemental cost plan developments. Evolve design and engineering in line with project budgets. Lead team of engineers and draftsmen to provide tender level design, good for construction design, vendor details review / incorporation, shop drawings review / sign-off and as-built design. Participate in tender reviews for technical as well as commercial bid analysis, alternative solutions, vendor queries resolution, etc. Participate in specific projects’ construction review meetings, construction queries resolution. Support in change management, provide technical support for variations analysis and closure of claims. Help commissioning team in installation qualification / testing. Visit suppliers’ factories for stage-wise / pre-despatch inspection clearance as required by the project / client. Skills and strengths: Good at leading his / her team and a good team player. Proficient in MS-Office suite, Word, Excel, etc. Working level knowledge of MS-Projects and AutoCAD. Good verbal and written English communication. Be a lead speaker in presentations on subject matter / technical issues and on work status, both for internal teams and in customer meetings. Show more Show less
