Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished Salesforce CPQ Architect with deep expertise in architecting, designing, and implementing Salesforce CPQ and Financial Services Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have 1215 years of overall Salesforce experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce CPQ implementation, and a proven ability to lead enterprise-grade solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures, while guiding teams through solution design, integrations, and data strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design :
- Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of Salesforce CPQ and Financial Services Cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, aligning with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
- Design robust data models, CPQ pricing structures, product configurations, and approval workflows.
Implementation & Integration
- Architect and implement Salesforce CPQ solutions, including advanced quoting, product bundling, discounting, and contract lifecycle management.
- Design and develop seamless integrations between Salesforce and external platforms using SOAP API, REST API, MuleSoft, and AppExchange packages.
- Ensure integration designs adhere to non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as security, performance, and scalability.
Technical Leadership & Governance
- Act as the CPQ subject matter expert, providing technical guidance to developers, administrators, and business analysts.
- Define coding standards, data governance policies, and security best practices (OWD, profiles, roles, sharing rules).
- Drive best practices in Apex, Lightning Components, SOQL/SOSL, and Governor Limit management.
Data Management & Migration
- Plan and execute data migration strategies, ensuring data integrity, de-duplication, and alignment with CPQ models.
- Maintain high data quality standards across quoting and financial systems.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Conduct workshops, design sessions, and technical reviews to ensure alignment of technology with business goals.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, flowcharts, and design specs.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Stay updated with Salesforce platform releases, CPQ enhancements, and Financial Services Cloud trends.
- Recommend and implement optimizations to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related 12+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem with strong solution architecture experience.
- 5+ years of specialized experience in Salesforce CPQ implementation.
- Prior experience in Financial Services Cloud preferred.
Technical Expertise
- Hands-on proficiency in Salesforce CPQ configuration, rules, workflows, and custom development.
- Strong experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs.
- Expertise in data modeling, security architecture, and system integration.
- Experience with project and development lifecycle methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
Certifications: Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist; Salesforce Application/Systems Architect or Platform Architect credentials highly desirable.
