About the Role:

E2M Solutions is looking for an experienced Ecommerce Tech Lead to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Shopify and exposure to other ecommerce platforms like BigCommerce. This is a technical leadership role involving custom development, API integrations, app development, and guiding the technical team in delivering high-quality ecommerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and lead the implementation of custom Shopify solutions, including custom themes, apps, and backend integrations.
• Lead the customization of Shopify Checkout through Checkout UI Extensions and ensure business logic is accurately represented.
• Guide the team in designing and developing Shopify apps (public, private, or custom) with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Plan and oversee ERP/CRM integrations and third-party API communication with Shopify stores.
• Own API strategy and development using Shopify's REST and GraphQL Admin APIs.
• Set up and manage webhooks for real-time data syncing, error handling, and retries.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, UI/UX designers, QA, and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior developers and enforce clean, maintainable code and development best practices.
• Research new tools, techniques, and Shopify capabilities and share learnings with the team.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience with custom Shopify theme and app development.
• In-depth knowledge of Shopify Checkout Extensions and checkout customization on Shopify Plus.
• Strong command over Shopify REST API and GraphQL Admin API.
• Experience building and maintaining Shopify apps (public/private/custom).
• Prior experience integrating ERP/CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, GQ) with Shopify.
• Solid grasp of Shopify Webhooks, event handling, and data sync strategies.
• Exposure to other platforms (BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Magento) is a strong plus.
• Strong problem-solving, team collaboration, and technical documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a digital agency or multi-client environment
• Familiarity with diffrent project management tools and workflows.
• Knowledge of performance optimization, caching strategies, and security best practices in eCommerce development.
