Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Duty Manager at IHG Hotels & Resorts, located in Chennai. The Duty Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Key responsibilities include managing front office services, addressing guest concerns, ensuring adherence to brand standards, and coordinating with various departments to maintain efficient operations. The role also entails leading and mentoring team members to deliver the highest level of service quality. The Duty Manager should act as the key point of contact for addressing operational challenges and ensuring a smooth guest journey.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality and Customer Service skills, including the ability to handle guest inquiries, manage complaints, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership and Staff Management abilities to motivate and guide the team to meet performance goals.
  • Operational Oversight and Problem-Solving skills to ensure smooth day-to-day hotel operations and tackle challenges effectively.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and Multitasking capabilities to manage various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS) and industry-standard practices is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in hospitality management or a similar role, with a preference for candidates with a degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management.
