Job Description

As the Director of Engineering at our company, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technology strategy and vision. Your responsibilities will include setting the technical roadmap, making decisions on architecture, technology stack, and engineering methodologies. You will lead the implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure systems to handle high-volume transactions and sensitive financial data. Key Responsibilities: - Define the technology strategy and vision for the engineering teams - Make critical decisions on architecture, technology stack, and engineering methodologies - Drive the implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure systems - Build, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and engineering managers - Lead talent acquisition, performance management, and career development - Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture - Act as a key liaison between the engineering team and other departments - Translate business requirements into technical solutions - Ensure technical systems adhere to strict financial regulations - Oversee the implementation of security measures and disaster recovery plans Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field - Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in software development, with 3-5 years in a senior engineering leadership role - Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of modern software architecture, microservices, and cloud technologies - Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and scale high-performing engineering teams - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in multiple programming languages Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field - Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment - Strong understanding of DevOps, data management, and cloud-native practices - Track record of managing third-party vendors and external integrations,
