DIPLOMA ENGINEER TRAINEE

Job Title: Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET) – Production (Fabrication & Machinery)

Job Purpose:

To support the production team in daily fabrication and machining operations, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in manufacturing activities while learning practical applications of mechanical and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily fabrication, assembly, and machining operations on the shop floor.
• Learn and understand engineering drawings, fabrication layouts, and machine part dimensions.
• Support supervisors and operators in machine setup, material preparation, and production activities.
• Monitor and record production data such as output, downtime, and material usage.
• Assist in inspection of fabricated components and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for welding, cutting, drilling, and assembly.
• Coordinate with maintenance for upkeep of machinery and tools.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain good housekeeping on the shop floor.
• Participate in continuous improvement and productivity enhancement activities.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of fabrication and machining processes.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with common workshop tools and machines (lathe, drilling, cutting, welding, etc.).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Excel).

Qualification & Experience:

• Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Fabrication Engineering.
• Experience: Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in fabrication or machinery manufacturing industry.
• Industry Preference: Fabrication, Heavy Engineering, or Machine Manufacturing units.

CTC: As per company policy (Stipend during training period).

Training Duration: 1 Year (subject to performance and company requirement).
