Job Context: Essel Mining & Industries Limited (EMIL) is a part of US$ 66 billion global conglomerate Aditya Birla Group. EMIL is having business interests in Iron Beneficiation and Pelletization (1 MTPA), Integrated Mining Services (~50 MTPA Coal), Commercial Coal Mining, manufacturing of Noble Ferro alloys, generation of Renewable Energy - Wind & Solar (Capacity – 155 MW). EMIL is also one of the largest integrated mining service company with mining operations in the states of Bhubaneswari Coal Mine in Odisha (PRC – 30 MTPA), Amelia Coal Mine in Madhya Pradesh (PRC – 5.6 MTPA), and Rajmahal Coal Mine in Jharkhand (PRC – 17 MTPA). EMIL is also developing Subhadra Coal Mine in Odisha with PRC of 25 MTPA and commercial coal mining project Bandha in Singrauli district in Madhya Pradesh with PRC of 5 MTPA. EMIL has vast experience across entire value chain of mining activities, starting from obtaining required statutory clearances/approvals, exploration, drilling, blasting, excavation, material handling, integrated infrastructure development including railway sidings, marketing, deliver minerals/products to customers, etc.Major Challenges: It includes accelerate growth, develop and implement projects with integrated infrastructure and achieve peak rated production, develop talent pipeline, train and enhance people skills, improve competitiveness, debottleneck existing operations, optimize working capital, enhance ROCE of overall business, diversification into new age minerals, drive digital initiatives in line with future technological changes, and sustainability initiatives to make mining business future ready.Key Result Areas

KRA1 Assist in developing and implementing EMIL CorporateSustainability Development Framework Assist in finalizing Sustainability Gap Assessment Report,Sustainability Committee Charter and Roles and Responsibilities of Committee members. Assist in developing Division level Sustainability Roadmap forEMIL. Identify Industry Specific Benchmarks inSustainability practices. Assist in setting targets for Business Divisions and develop Draft Data CollectionTemplate and Guidance Note for Key Performance Indicators. Assist in developing One time EHS Compliance RegisterKRA2 Implementation of ABG Sustainability Framework Implementation of ABG Sustainability Framework 1.Facilitate Business specific procedures against ABGSustainability frame work after benchmarking and bestpractice identification 2. List activities of operations in coordination with departmental people for identifyinghazards and developing counter-measures (Risk Register) 3. Form Safety Subcommittee and monitoring its effective meetingKRA3 MIS & Corporate communication: Maintaining and Reporting Sustainability data 1. All stat and corporate data are submitted within deadline 2. Ensure that all data is accurately submitted on RCM module within the stipulated timelines 3.
