What You’ll Do


As a DTP (Desktop Publishing) Specialist at AssessPrep, you will play a key role in creating high-quality, visually consistent, and professional layouts for digital and print materials. You will collaborate closely with academic, product, and marketing teams to ensure error-free, well-formatted, and aesthetically aligned documents that meet international publishing standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Document Formatting & Layout: Design, format, and finalize assessments, reports, manuals, and other academic or business documents for both digital and print use.
  2. Template Management: Develop and maintain standardized templates to ensure brand consistency across all materials.
  3. Content Accuracy: Proofread and cross-check layouts to ensure accuracy in text, images, tables, and graphics.
  4. Graphic Handling: Insert, edit, and optimize images, icons, charts, and other visual elements for clarity and presentation.
  5. File Management: Prepare and export files in required formats (PDF, Word, PPT, etc.) with proper version control.
  6. Collaboration: Work with subject matter experts, designers, and product teams to deliver polished outputs within tight deadlines.
  7. Quality Assurance: Conduct pre-release checks to ensure all documents meet professional standards of typography, design, and formatting.
  8. Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements in formatting and publishing workflows.


What We’re Looking For


  • Experience: 2–4 years in desktop publishing, document design, or related roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in DTP tools such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong eye for typography, spacing, alignment, and design consistency.
  • Language Skills: Strong command of English for proofreading and error detection.
  • Time Management: Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot formatting issues and propose effective design solutions.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


A Typical Week Might Include


  1. Formatting and finalizing assessment papers and teacher guides.
  2. Designing professional layouts for presentations, reports, or handbooks.
  3. Reviewing documents for consistency, errors, and design quality.
  4. Preparing print-ready and digital-ready files for distribution.
  5. Coordinating with internal teams to adapt content into structured templates.
  6. Updating design templates or style guides for recurring projects.
