Design Manager

As a Design Manager at Welspun One, you will be responsible for leading the design process for execution, statutory approvals, and as-built team activities. Your role will involve managing layouts, obtaining material approvals, and playing a key role in design coordination with architects, consultants, and stakeholders. To qualify for this position, you should hold a B.Arch or M.Arch degree or a PGD from NICMAR, along with a minimum of 7-9 years of overall experience in design management, with at least 4-5 years in large-scale project design management. Your key responsibilities will include conducting workshops with stakeholders to obtain design approvals, coordinating design activities with various parties, visiting sites to ensure compliance with design documents, and troubleshooting day-to-day design issues. You will also be in charge of maintaining design deliverable and material approval trackers, identifying and addressing design issues proactively, managing RFIs, and overseeing design reviews and approvals for architectural, civil, and MEP services. In addition to technical skills, you should possess excellent communication and networking abilities to liaise effectively with consultants and customers. Familiarity with statutory requirements for industrial and warehousing projects, knowledge of green building ratings, and experience in developing master plans will be crucial for success in this role. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit, BIM experience, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude are also essential.
