Job Summary We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Developer with strong expertise in the design and development of fluid control components, valves, and flow control systems. The ideal candidate will combine deep knowledge of fluid dynamics, mechanics of parts, and CAD/CAE tools with a logical, hands-on, and curious approach to solving engineering problems. Responsibilities • Design and develop flow components, valves, and other flow control components from concept to production. • Conduct simulations and stress analyses using ANSYS to validate designs. • Create 3D models and detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks and DraftSight. • Designing new products with materials, manufacturing processes, and methods used for industrial components is desirable. • Understanding and knowledge of the new product development process. • Strong theoretical and practical design skills • Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision. • Undertakes work in an efficient and timely manner • Own the full product development process, including concept, product specifications, design, supplier specifications, product validation, and production launch • Handle projects independently and guide team members as and when required • A willingness to learn is critical. • Collaborate with cross-functional team,s including manufacturing, procurement, and quality. • Participate in prototyping, testing, and iterative development processes. • Research new materials, mechanisms, and technologies to enhance product performance. • Solve real-world flow control and mechanical problems with clear, analytical reasoning. • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (ASME, ISO, etc.) Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. • 2+ years of experience in product development related to fluid control systems. • Strong foundation in fluid dynamics, mechanics, and component design. • Expertise in aerospace and defence technologies • Knowledge of aerospace and defence component manufacturing • Strong understanding of tight tolerancing in precision engineering • Proficiency in seal design, including O-ring selection • Familiarity with thread configurations for fluid control applications • Ability to assess soft seal compatibility across various systems • Competence in material selection processes and material compatibility for fluid control systems • Experience in pressure regulation products within fluid control systems • Proficiency in SolidWorks, ANSYS, and DraftSight. • Proficient in computer-aided design and simulation software application, boundary condition understanding • Excellent problem-solving and logical reasoning skills. • A curious and proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and explore. • Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team. Bonus Skills • Experience with pressure regulators and precision control valves. • Experience or Knowledge of Product certifications and type approval procedures. • Understanding of manufacturing processes like CNC, VMC, and additive manufacturing. • Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools and pressure testing procedures.
