· As a Lead Product Designer with Research Specialization, you have a full understanding and experience with the end-to-end design process, and your focus is on defining the learning agenda that drives clarity and direction across complex product initiatives. You connect business goals, user needs, and design intent through research that is both rigorous and actionable. Your leadership ensures research is not a side activity — but a core pillar of strategy and innovation.
· You lead multidisciplinary research efforts that span discovery, validation, and measurement, while mentoring others in the art and science of insight generation. You guide teams to ask better questions, triangulate data effectively, and communicate findings with clarity and conviction. Your influence extends from shaping early hypotheses to driving product roadmaps with evidence-based decisions.
· You embrace AI as both a force multiplier and an ethical frontier in design research. You actively use AI-powered tools to accelerate synthesis, detect patterns across large datasets, and model potential user scenarios — while guiding teams in maintaining interpretive accuracy and human oversight. You also lead conversations about the responsible use of AI in research, ensuring transparency, explainability, and user trust remain central.
· Lead and oversee end-to-end research programs across multiple workstreams, balancing business objectives with user-centered inquiry
· Guide teams in conducting research for AI-enabled user experiences, ensuring human values, safety, and usability remain central.
· Define research roadmaps and methodologies in collaboration with design, product, and engineering leads.
· Supervise and mentor researchers, reviewing plans, tools, and deliverables to ensure consistency and quality.
· Guide teams in integrating research findings into design strategy and product development cycles.
· Leverage AI tools for synthesis, clustering, and hypothesis generation while ensuring ethical and accurate application.
· Develop frameworks that link research insights to measurable outcomes, helping clients make data-informed decisions.
· Advocate for research excellence in client engagements, shaping proposals and storytelling to articulate the value of evidence-led design.
· Present findings to executive stakeholders with confidence and clarity, building empathy and alignment through storytelling and visualization.
· Contribute to the evolution of Brillio Design’s research practice by developing toolkits, templates, and training programs for AI-augmented research.
· Partner with Design and Product Leads to define best practices for synthetic user research, helping teams understand its potential and limitations.
· Software Skills & Tools: Advanced proficiency with FigJam/Figma for collaboration and visualization; leads the use of research platforms such as Maze, UserTesting, and DScout; explores tools for AI-assisted synthesis or synthetic research, and coaches teams on their effective, ethical use.
· Research Planning & Protocol Development: Establishes and oversees comprehensive research strategies, aligning goals and methodologies with business outcomes and product roadmaps. Coaches teams in defining hypotheses, success metrics, and multi-method approaches.
· User & Stakeholder Interviews: Leads complex or executive-level interviews and contextual inquiries. Mentors others in advanced questioning techniques, synthesis in real time, and translating qualitative insights into strategic opportunities
