Job Title : Design Head

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and oversee the complete transformer design process – from concept to final engineering release.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the design engineering team.
• Ensure product designs meet safety, performance, reliability, and cost targets as per international and national standards (IEC, ANSI, BIS).
• Approve technical drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design documentation.
• Coordinate with production, quality, R&D, and sales teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.
• Use simulation tools for Magnetic, Thermal, Electrical, and Mechanical analysis.
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation in transformer design, materials, and processes.
• Collaborate with QA/testing teams to resolve design-related issues.
• Stay updated with trends, materials, and best practices in the power sector.
• Manage design budgets, resource planning, and timelines.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in designing power/distribution transformers (up to 132kV or higher).
• Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, ELCAD, FEMM, Maxwell, ANSYS, or similar.
• Strong knowledge in core design, magnetic analysis, insulation coordination, short-circuit forces, and thermal behavior.
• In-depth understanding of international transformer standards (IEC, ANSI, IS, etc.).
• Experience in leading and managing a team of engineers.
• Proven experience in handling customer-specific and turnkey projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹322,029.22 - ₹477,120.30 per month
